The first session of Ascended Master University - a religious study center for teaching of the ancient wisdom - was held there in July 1970. (Ascended Master University was later renamed Summit University.)

THE GODDESS OF LIBERTY ON THE RELEASES OF THE MASTERS THROUGH THE CENTURIES:

As we inspired the leadership of Abraham, Noah, Moses, and other great patriarchs, as we spoke through Zarathustra, Apollonius of Tyana, and Jesus, as we released holy wisdom to Socrates, Plato, and Emerson, so did we come through Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky in Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine. We have also released our instruction through other adherents of divine truth, both metaphysical and occult, until the occult law was set aside and the pure passion of the flames of liberty and truth was unleashed in the early 1930s.

Man—caught in the miasma of his separatist dream, deigning to be fooled—has created a thousand foolish splinters that have taken him from the truth center of his being. It is not that the germ of reality and truth is not active within the many spiritual organizations upon earth; it is simply that individuals do not grasp truth when they find it but prefer instead to form their own anthropomorphic God (a god made in their own image) and to embrace concepts that are foreign to reality. 1950’s and the BRIDGE TO FREEDOM ASCENDED MASTER ACTIVITY

Mark Prophet writes his Ashram Notes, and has some type of small group interested in his work and the Ashram Notes from the Masters that he sends out.

Mark is associated somewhat with the Bridge to Freedom ascended master activity. These were under the messengership of Geraldine Innocente. Mark left their group along with the leader of their Philadelphia group. This lady was Blavatsky come again. Mark said she had the greatest spiritual potential of anyone he had met.They started an organization and were working together. Mark found she was “editing” his dictations and they parted ways. Blavatsky was soon to reincarnate into a family of Keepers and resume the Summit path.

She qualifies for her ascension, but decides
to return to help
the cause.

ECP STATEMENTS ON THE BRIDGE TO FREEDOM MATERIAL

Elizabeth Clare Prophet at a Summit University summer session on 8-17-93 stated:

"The Bridge to Freedom brought a great deal of enlightenment through and about the Masters, about their retreats, a lot of teaching that is accurate. If you ever read some of the Bridge book I want to caution you because error began creeping in at a certain point...."

Elizabeth Clare Prophet at Summit University summer session on 11-17-75 stated:

"In that dictation (of 9-26-65 by Morya) he mentioned the failure of an activity with which he had worked for about fifteen years. The records and the archives of this activity are in my possession...."

Mrs. Innocente had great problems sleeping and took prescription drugs to help deal with this.

A Church reverend stated on 6-3-03: "Although Geraldine Innocente thought she was El Morya's twin flame, Elizabeth Clare Prophet has explained that she was mistaken in this belief. The messenger also said on 1-1-99 (at Miami Conference) that El Morya's twin flame had gone thru the second death."

Beloved Chela:

The First Ray has a unique position in the great evolutionary plan of creation because it is the initial impulse by which the ideas born of the heart and mind of God are given life.

The human or outer consciousness does not like change even for the better because it entails the stirring of the individual energies. Thus those who are the heralds of new movements, new ideas, startling deviations from age-old policies, concepts and methods are not popular with the masses and are even strongly resisted by the so-called bold pioneers of the race! Thus the members of the First Ray are fashioned in the purest fire from God's own heart, and the crucible in which they are tempered is fed by the heart-flames of the greatest beings who stand around the Sun itself, so that in the hands of the Master when they are driven like the spear into the resisting sea of matter they may remain strong, true and one-pointed and not be shattered into useless bits before the resistance of the recalcitrant substance which must be redeemed.

The spearhead must be sharp, one-pointed and strong, directed always at the goal toward which the Master drives it. It must be selfless lest it determine to use its strength for its own will and the thrust miss its cosmic mark. It must be pared for the resistance of the object which it must pierce to achieve its mark and yet be unconcerned in that resistance. The shaft of that spear consists of the entire momentum of the lifestream, for the chela is only as valuable as his entire heritage of energy which behind the spearhead drives it to its goal. After the fashioning of the spearhead the Master spends much time upon the preparation of the shaft, going over each electron in its long surface, purifying, strengthening, preparing it for his service.

This is the process in which I presently engage! I thank you for your cooperation and loving desire to assist Me. I appreciate both your love and your trust! I shall prove Myself worthy of both, if you will bear with Me until I AM able to fashion out of the substance of this shifting maya a clearly defined outline of God's will. It is one thing to duplicate the thoughtform of the Father out of the obedient substance of the inner levels and breathe into it the life of your own being, knowing it will remain as designed, but quite another to create daily a thoughtform for a new activity, breathe into it your life and then leave it to the questionable guardianship of chelas who proceed to tear it to pieces in the course of a single day. Here I AM learning the noble art of patience with a capital P!...

		THE HISTORY OF THE SUMMIT LIGHTHOUSE Page 2 of 14 OVERVIEW OF THE EARLY YEARS Mark Prophet recounts that he was first contacted by the ascended masters at about the age of 18. In about 1945 he joined a Rosicrucian group, and later affiliated for a time with Self-Realization Fellowship. When he heard Yogananda was passing on he was upset, and tried to drive to meet him before he passed, if If the recollection and understanding of the editor is correct . In 1952 he started a small group known as the Ashram, sending out periodic letters from the ascended masters, in particular El Morya. In about 1956 Mark Prophet came in contact with The Bridge to Freedom, an offshoot of the I AM Movement led by Geraldine Innocente (d.1961). Innocente had been a member of the I AM Movement, but left the I AM in 1952 to begin her own group. Mr. Prophet studied with the Bridge until 1958 while also continuing with his own Ashram group. On August 7, 1958, Mark sent the final communication to the members of the Ashram, announcing the establishment of The Summit Lighthouse. The founding meeting of The Summit Lighthouse was held in Philadelphia on August 7, 1958. The headquarters was in Washington, D.C. Philadelphia is the Secret Chamber of the Heart chakra of the USA. It is also where the America Declaration of Independence was affirmed to the world. In 1961, Mark met Elizabeth; they married in 1964.
