It has been said that “Fohat is that which links spirit to matter, it is the bridge by which ideas existing in Divine Thought are impressed upon cosmic substance.” Fohat is the animating principle that draws the infinite energy of God into a specific manifestation.

With this understanding comes great responsibility, we are co-creators with God and the science of fohat can be used for good or ill and we are karmically accountable for both.

It is good to practice being calm and focused, learn to be centered in the heart. Saint Germain in his book on Alchemy recommends that we learn to achieve poise and not be affected by the roller coaster of the emotional body. This is easier said than done, we may say, and the masters would agree with us, they know what it is like to be embodied on earth and how difficult it can be to remain unmoved in the face of riptides of negative energy. Great people who have achieved certain levels of mastery are not people who don’t make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes, everybody falters, but those who achieve true mastery learn to get up faster, make some adjustments, not get so critical of themselves and patiently and persistently move forward.

One teaching that I’m sure you will find very interesting is that there is a distribution of energy to the chakras both above and below the heart. The crown chakra relates to the base chakra, the seat of the soul to the third eye and most importantly for this subject, the solar plexus chakra relates to the throat chakra.

So what does this mean? It means that whatever tension or anger you may be experiencing in the solar plexus will manifest in your throat chakra, in other words if you are angry or upset and open your mouth to speak, that vibration is going to manifest in your voice. If you are irritated, out of balance, or just downright furious with someone or something, that energy will be apparent as you speak and may even influence your choice of words.

Therefore it is wise to master the emotions, and to quiet ourselves and become centered before we begin decreeing.

Sometimes we may feel justified in being angry when we are dealing with a specific issue such as abortion, terrorism or some other terrible injustice in society to which we strongly object and which may cause us to react emotionally. Just remember that you will be far more effective in dealing with these issues when you come from a place of peace and with tremendous love.

PEACE IN THE SOLAR PLEXUS PRODUCES POWER OF FOHAT.

In the dictation given in 1991 Elohim Peace warned us against using our energy for prayer or decrees in anger or with vengeance. The underlying premise here is that we don’t want to use this powerful form of prayer in anger or with vengeance. The fact is—and it is very important to understand this—that the greater the peace the greater the power, because peace creates a connection to the ultimate source of power while disharmony and anger cut us off from that same source. This is a wonderful example of grace that shows us how God’s exacting laws are in many ways designed to protect us from ourselves. There are actually safeguards in place which keep us from making undue negative karma out of ignorance and through inappropriate actions.

This law is also set up to spare us the pain of getting what we want too quickly before we have really considered what our life would be like having all these desires immediately fulfilled. We often tend to jump from one desire or want to the next and to pray for this great job or that wonderful relationship or to have a great deal of money come to us etc. However if we follow the laws of manifestation that are set in place to protect us, we find that to get what we want requires a process.

First we must put our attention and focus on what we want, and we must be clear about it. It requires visualization and a consistent holding of that vision over time. We then verbalize and affirm our desire, creating a mind blueprint of the object or outcome we wish to produce. We determine where, when and how we wish the object, event or outcome to manifest. Then we come to the emotional component, the calm, confident, expectant, positive emotion, combined with relaxation that activates the subconscious, and brings about rapid change. This mental state, self-induced, is followed very quickly, sometimes instantaneously by the physical manifestation of our desired result. Once the verbalization, affirmation, visualization are complete and we have created the emotion and feeling of the completion of the blueprint held within our mind, we seal this process: “It is done”. Then with absolute faith we release it, just as though our most trusted friend had just told us that he would take care of it and we need not ever think about it again.

The point here is that there are laws of alchemy and laws of manifestation; these are universal and timeless laws that help to protect and support us in all of our endeavors and when we follow them, we are wiser for it. When we truly know what we want and follow the process, we get the desired result, but once we do, we cannot blame anyone for that result if we find that we don’t like it because we created it. Interestingly enough, we are already doing this in our everyday lives. Our lives are currently a manifestation of our desires, our programming and reflect our inner blueprint. Our inner world creates our outer world and so, as we look within and examine closely our sense of worth and stature, we begin to see why we are getting the results we get in life. If you think you can, you can, if you think you can’t, that is also true. This applies to this science of prayer in a very powerful way.

You may pray for one angel of God to stand at the bedside of a child and to bring comfort and a night of peaceful rest. You may pray for harmony and peace for that family and that true love and a supportive culture may pervade throughout that household. You may also pray for this to apply to every child and every family on earth. It is your own inner belief and faith that makes it so, God in you can touch the heart and life of everyone upon earth simultaneously if you believe it. Set yourself free to be an open door for unlimited and quantum light manifestation, open your heart and send your love out into the world to erase all errors and to breakdown all barriers, be the power of infinite love amplifying itself until it is victorious, world without end.

Peace, be still and know that I am God! This is a very profound approach to this art and science of prayer and decrees. When we say I AM, we are saying God in me is, God in me is at peace and is still and in that place and from that place the unlimited power of God will flow forth to perform and create wondrous manifestations.

Jesus the Christ - December 26, 1976:

And do you know that the mathematics of the release of fohat is so exact that where you are and where you keep the flame is determined within feet and inches? Where you are in the cities, where you are in your homes and in your sanctuaries is carefully calculated in the retreat of Cuzco for the balance of light.”

Just consider for a moment the import of what you are doing when you engage in this type of work and are able to do it from a centered place of peace. You become a valuable ally of the forces of light in this world as together we strive to bring balance and light to a planet and her evolutions. This should help you to feel a sense of self-worth and esteem for the work that you do but in no way should it engender a feeling of false pride.

DIVINE LOVE, PEACE OF THE BUDDHA

The love of God through the spoken word is a very important component of the power of our decrees. We must send forth love in all of our prayers and decrees, most importantly when we are engaging in our delivery of the Judgment. It is challenging but necessary to remain impartial and objective and always mindful of maintaining a loving peaceful presence.

Remember that centering in the place of peace allows you to connect more effectively with the infinite power of God that exists throughout all time and space. It is only a breath away but it takes practice and focus to wield it with surety and conviction. Many eastern masters teach methods of centering and focusing our attention on this place of power. Learning to breathe and to be still, allowing the energy to flow and to coalesce, ready to be used in ways that are appropriate and uplifting.

Let’s talk for a moment about reverence and how it applies to this topic. We find in all religious and mystical teachings a cultivation of reverence for God and all of creation, a state of appreciation and gratitude for what we behold and a respect for the principles which are the origin of the things we see manifested around us.

We revere the creations and manifestations of God because they are intricate patterns of perfection. We admire, affirm and revere others as manifestations of God and then, rather than worship them, we strive to perfect and refine our own selves by learning from their example.

Reverence, appreciation and gratitude are principles, and by fundamental universal laws of alchemy what we place our attention on in a concentrated way multiplies and draws more of its kind unto us. It is a very powerful concept which I feel needs to grow out of its Piscean paradigm and be seen with more Aquarian maturity.

It is a matter of appropriation. If for instance we are strolling through a beautiful garden, we may admire the magnificent flowers and take in their fragrance as a way to enjoy their beauty. To the mature initiate of the sacred fire the foundation of the rose is geometric design and fiery fohat. With this understanding comes the opportunity to appropriate, not only to admire.

To appropriate the sacred pattern of the petals of a rose is to take in that pattern and to assimilate it, to become it, to outpicture it and finally to create it.

The mature, understanding individual then does not only admire the light, attainment and virtue in another but also appropriates his being, his consciousness, his law. He then claims it and makes it his own in the oneness of love.

Appropriation is a science of initiates who have reached the stage of accepting responsibility, who will, in every endeavor, respond to the ability of God to be in us, the ability of God to manifest in us and work his works through us. So there is a big difference between the one who observes and the one who becomes the fullness of God in manifestation.

FIRE OR YELLING

When it comes to decreeing and even more importantly to leading decrees (because as a leader you are setting an example for others in the process) learning control is a vital element. You may sometimes have occasion to see individuals giving calls that border on yelling or shouting, feeling that when they do so, their calls will have more power. There is a big difference between a fiat that is sent forth with power, that is focused and concentrated, and a fiat that is shouted. You will find, if you take the time to observe and notice it, that a fiat shouted or yelled out dissipates quickly and feels discordant while a fiat given from a point of centered concentration and peace goes forth and leaves the giver feeling very peaceful and calm.

This wonderful teaching given by Pallas Athena helps us remember to stay calm and focused when making our calls; most especially when we are making calls on issues that may tend to upset or anger us. These are the moments that test our mastery in the word, our ability to remain centered and poised in the face of injustice and evil, to make the call and to remember, “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord, I will repay”. Our job is to make the call in the physical octave and God will take care of the rest.

Beloved Pallas Athena - September 29, 1993:

“Therefore this day, in this moment, may you shout your fiats of Truth and affirm that you stand in judgment of the not-self of your own being! [Congregation shouts fiats of Truth without exercising God-control. Therefore Pallas Athena gives the following instruction:]

Now, beloved ones, I would counsel you always to command in the name Jesus Christ, your Mighty I AM Presence and all hosts of the LORD in the voice of the peace-commanding Presence. It is not necessary to be frantic (or fanatical) in making these calls. It is not necessary to shout at a level where you do not have your God-control.

Let this be your treasure, that by the power of the spoken Word, by the wisdom of the spoken Word, by the love of the spoken Word, you stand guard in defense of all those who do not yet have their defenses in place and therefore look to you to stand between them and the enemy of their souls.”

It is good to practice centeredness, centering in the heart, putting your attention on the area around the heart. Learn to breathe and center on your breath, put your attention on the here and now and feel the waves of peace flowing through your body. Learn to remain unmoved by the turmoil that may be around you so that you can be a focal point for sending forth calls and prayers that are both powerful and balancing.

Giving calls or fiats as loud as possible is not always necessary or preferable; we do not need to yell at the angels or at God. What we want is depth of feeling, intensity of focus and purpose.

When teaching this workshop, I often used to share the story of a lunch-time decree session we had back in the late 80’s when I served on the staff at the headquarters of the Summit Lighthouse. Elisabeth Clare Prophet (or Mother as we called her) came out around noon to lead a half-hour session of decrees but on that particular day she had lost her voice—it was a virus of some kind—and all she could do was whisper. She told us that she wanted to take advantage of this situation to teach us a lesson about fohat and to demonstrate for us that power in the voice is not always related to volume.

She had us all stand and then turned towards the altar to give her invocation. Her voice was so soft that everyone in the room had to be very still and listen carefully and intently to what was being spoken. I must say that it was one of the most powerful invocations I ever heard Mother give and yet it was done so softly that it was barely audible.

What I learned on that day through her example was how to add power to my words with more than just volume, with inner intensity, with a deep inner fire and concentration.

WORDS ARE CUPS

Sometimes when individuals get a little overzealous with their decrees they will “bark” them out. This is a little difficult to explain without physically giving you an example but I will try to give you an example in print. The issue here is putting undue emphasis on particular words, thinking that by doing so we somehow add more power to a decree. Let’s take the call to Archangel Michael for example; if someone was doing what I have described rather than having a smooth cadence, it would sound like this.

Lord MICHAEL!! Lord Michael I CALL!! Unto thee.

Wield thy SWORD!! Of blue flame and NOW!! cut me free.

BLAZE!! God power protection now INTO!! my world.

Thy BANNER!! Of faith ABOVE!! me unfurl.

I often used to joke when giving a demonstration of this that this sounds a lot like a barking dog. It is an attempt to punch out certain words to make them go farther. The other thing that this does is to disrupt the rhythm of the decree itself which, as you will see later, is one of the most empowering aspects of a decree. Here is a great excerpt of a teaching Mother gave at one time about putting undue emphasis on certain words.

“Words are cups, and into those cups we pour our light and our love. We pour our mastery and our authority into the world conditions we name by using the words of the mantra or fiat as cups of light.

You may think that accenting a word or punctuating a fiat is something you do with a surge of emotional energy. This is never so. Giving a powerful release of light, of sacred fire or fohat, in certain words like “blaze” or “bolts of blue lightning” is an act of the Christ Self, and the Christ Self does this through you. You don’t suddenly send emotion through decrees—this is a misunderstanding of the Word.

God is the decreer, the decree, and the answer to the decree, and you are his instrument—you are Krishna’s flute. You must present yourself as an instrument of the Almighty for the flow of his light.”

At this point I would like to give you a few words of caution.

I have often said in my workshops that when giving decrees such as the Judgment or Dweller Call, it is a very good time to check one’s motive and vibration. These types of decrees can tend to be given from a place of anger or with a sense of vengeance rather than from a place of peace and with as much love as can be poured into them. The following excerpt from Vajrasattva is a very sobering reminder of what can take place when we seek to use decrees in a wrathful manner, with anger or a sense of vengeance.

Vajrasattva - June 30, 1995:

“So I give you this thunderbolt, this vajra. But I tell you the condition. Use it in love. Use it in purity. Never, never use the powers of God to destroy your enemies; for you will immediately be stripped of all power should you do so. Never use the name of God or a fiat or a mantra when you are not in harmony, not centered in love and wisdom and the will of God. Be careful with the misuse of the spoken word. For you have more energy than you have ever had by the use of that word. Do not misqualify it. Do not become fanatical. Do not ever give fiats if you have not first controlled anger or other emotions.

The use of the word such as vajra is holy, profoundly holy. For you to use it, beloved, I am taking a calculated risk, a risk in so giving it to you. But I point out, as I have just said; its misuse will create an instantaneous loss of the gift permanently.”

I like to think that what I am striving to do is to give the angels and the loving universe the purest energy I can, not colored with my emotions and overlaid with my agendas. In some respects this requires faith and a belief that from the much broader and far-reaching perspective God is aware of the intricacies of human interactions and the vast karmic circumstances of individuals and nations. It is important to recognize that as we are one with God, we are also connected to the ebb and flow, the awakening to greater love and truth in the minds of men and women throughout the earth. One by one people have their experiences and change according to their awareness of principles and their desire to align with them.

Our job is to focus on our own transformation first and know that as we change, the world changes, as we collectively change, the world comes up higher and we gradually or swiftly move towards a critical mass of change. It all begins with the one and that one is you, right now, right where you are.

MEDITATION

A lot of spiritual methods and traditions focus on meditation and silent prayer, and these are indispensable for helping us to center and achieve control of the mind and emotions. At a certain point we have to free our voices, free ourselves and allow God to perform wonders through us. If even the infinite Omnipotent Creator needed to sound the definite “Let there be” to bring forth form out of actuality, so we too must take this step. The surest way to predict your future is to create it.

Beloved Archangel Jophiel - November 14, 1982:

“I tell you, ladies and gentlemen, you must admit to the great truth of the power of illumination and invocation, and recognize that whether your human likes it or not, this is a method whereby you may find the greater light in greater ease than any other upon the planetary body!

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to call to your attention that throughout the land of India, countless yogis are sitting in the silence and meditating upon God without producing nearly as much a release of cosmic energy as is released in one minute of these sessions whereby you call forth and invoke light, because you invest your energies consciously and willingly on behalf of mankind as an act of the love that is within your heart!

When this love flows forth from your heart, the great cosmic masters in their wondrous devotion, by fulfilling the cosmic law, are able to balance that energy which you give by giving a greater quantity by far to mankind than they could ever do without the great release of energy which you give.

I tell you, ladies and gentlemen, these decrees are a method whereby you create the thought matrixes, the wondrous parallelograms and circles and triangles of spiritual symbology, in the ethers and upon akasha, which causes a release of the tremendous power of fohat—which, in itself, is a greater assistance to mankind than they ever dream of in their outer consciousness.”
