Workshop Introduction

I want to thank you for your interest and for some of you your love and passion for the power of the spoken word. It is a subject to which I have dedicated a considerable part of my life, both in study and in practice. The following workshop is one that I gave extensively during the many prayer vigils I had the privilege of conducting over the years. I had been a decree leader for 12 years with the Summit Lighthouse organization and developed a passion for this form of prayer. I then began to see that it was an art and science that needed to become more broadly recognized as a complement to other forms of prayer used in various cultures around the world.

Early on, as I began to pass on my experience to others, I saw that there was a need for personal training for those who really had a passion for decreeing and wanted to become decree leaders (individuals who conduct larger group prayer sessions using decrees).

What you are about to read actually began as an outline containing various bullet points designed to jog my memory as I would move along through my presentations. Over the years this body of work grew as my team continued to research this topic and we gathered together as much teaching on this subject as we could find. It became clearer and clearer to me over time that the overall workshop had some specific primary elements such as “How do we really see ourselves and each other?” “How can we be more effective in our decree sessions?” As I conducted services city by city, I saw that in some instances people didn’t really believe in themselves or their ability to effect positive change. It seemed that it was not so much the prayers or decrees that they doubted, it was themselves. For the most part they were relying on “someone else”, a leader, an expert to come along and somehow garner their collective energy and facilitate its productive use.

In one respect they were right, leaders were and are needed, and I became very concerned feeling that if many more leaders were not trained in this art, ultimately it could die out altogether, the only remaining traces being on recorded tape. I recognized that just as a student needs a teacher to learn to play the violin and become not only proficient but also masterful as a violinist, a decree leader needs to have an in-the-flesh teacher in order to develop real mastery in this field.

This workshop is a starting place, it is an ongoing work in progress and I believe that one day with the passion and enthusiasm I have witnessed in so many people I have met, there will be many expert decree leaders conducting powerful large group sessions and prayer vigils around the world which will help to bring this world to a brighter tomorrow.

A deep belief in your true self and your ability to access it to massively increase the power of the word spoken through you.
A greater understanding of fohat and a feeling of it; I want you to feel it working through you and in you.
A greater appreciation of the love, wisdom and power chaliced within the poetry of the decrees and perhaps even an awakened belief that you too can write beautiful works of art that can convey great light to this earth.
A good working knowledge of the things you can start doing to achieve greater effectiveness as well as habits you should consider changing that may be limiting your effectiveness.

May your individual and collective prayers circle the earth and touch the hearts of billions of individuals who, though you may never see the results, are blessed by your love and by the transformational light of God that comes to earth in answer to your powerful calls.
